Hello TKGSSE!
I know I'm like considered alumni already and shouldn't be posting here. Butttttt.. I've got some stuff to say. And I can't say it to y'all personally because school's been eating the shit out of me.
Well, y'all probably know by now that TKGSSB attained GWH for SYF.
What do YOU feel about that?
I can tell you I was pretty surprised, maybe 'cause I've not heard them recently. And I just want to say, if TKGSSB can do it, you guys can DEFINITELY do it too. Maybe to you GWH is too high a goal, but you guys should definitely aim for at least a Gold.
I hope, really HOPE that you guys put in the effort to make every single note sound as perfect as you possibly can. If y'all want to do well EVERYONE has to put in effort and perfect their parts!! If you don't do your part, you'll be holding the whole ensemble back and the ensem won't be able to PROGRESS because you're limited to that particular section's/individual's standard.
I DO NOT, REALLY, DO NOT, want you all to walk off the stage on SYF day thinking "We could have done better." or "That sucked." It is NOT a good feeling. Why participate in a competition if you cannot even commit to it and finish it off knowing that you have done your part? That you've performed to the best of your ability?
I am not sure of the current level of discipline in the ensem now, it may be good, bad, ok, I don't know. If it's bad, make it good, if it's good, make it better. Whatever you guys do, there is ALWAYS room for improvement. Don't slack off even if you're good at your part already!! Rather, sustain your playing!! Keep pushing on.
Listen to your leaders, I'm sure it's tough for them, especially since most of them are ending off their time with string on an SYF year. I do not know if I'll be able to visit before SYF, but whether I do or not, I hope this SYF will a good one for you, and that you'll know that you have done your best no matter the result.

Sec 4 farewell
Dear, sec 4s, I'm really sorry that it didn't go as planned, but i hope you all had fun yeah? blasted rain. Rebecca and I wanted a sec 4 farewell different from last year's one. Well, the planning went on well, but things didn't turn out as planned in the end. Lots of food wasted ):
Thanks Persis, Edna, Chelsea, Dorisa, Clarissa, Weiling, Carol and the other juniors and sec 3s for coming (: Thanks Melissa, for the Bee Hoon and Curry (: Without whom we wouldn't have anything to eat.
I feel so bad that Persis, Dorisa and Clarissa had to get wet when it rained. Trying, to save the fire, and continue bbq-ing the food. Sorry! Maybe a bbq wasn't a very good idea...
I hope we'll get a nice farewell next year (: there's only 7 of us to plan for, anyway. I just hope that it doesn't turn out as bad as this year's. But even though the rain destroyed the food, everyone was still happy right??
Can anyone who has pictures of the farewell send them to me?

To be honest, I'm terribly, terribly, terribly afraid. I think the seniors think so too.
We need to PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.
And we might need to study the pieces we are playing as well. Like, how to play. The way you play. The mood of the song, bow speed, etc. etc. etc.
I just hope that we'll be able to, at least, sustain the silver.
We just have to work hard next year.

What's done is done already yeah..
so just keep working hard!
But now it's time for STRINGS to start again!
(YAY!!!)
Strings start this Friday (121007) k.
2 to 5 pm.
uhh, i think it'll clash with mep scripts checking.
so just play by ear k.
FROM NOW ON, WE ONLY HAVE PRACTICES WITH MR LEE ON FRIDAYS.
WEDNESDAYS MAY BE RESERVED FOR SECTIONALS.
BUT UHH, TENTATIVELY DON'T HAVE..
NEXT FRIDAY NO PRACTICE.
TUESDAY TUITION AS PER NORMAL(:
and another thing..
the trip to HK is not going to make it.
but the teachers are trying their best to plan for one next year already k.
like during june.
so just keep praying really hard that we'll get to go somewhere..
meanwhile just look forward to sec 4 farewell yeah?(:
try not to make exco/ teachers angry with everyone this coming practice and in future yeah.
we really don't want to allow the need for us to have a "serious talk" with the whole group..

Since Persis updated, I thought I'd update too. Not a very good excuse but, hehe it's probably the last time I'll post too!
Firstly, OMG THANK YOU PERSIS FOR CHANGING THE LAYOUT?! OMG?
Secondly, all the best for SYF 2009! YOU GUYS HAVE POTENTIAL FOR GOLD OK! You just need to.. PRACTICE. Y'all did well for 55th so y'all can do well again! Haha didn't really get to hear you guys play although I did crash at the last minute.
Thirdly, I remember one of the seniors saying this, it has been repeated billions of times but "PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!!" And can someone please remind me who said that. Think it was Farah's batch. Fyi, my cello playing skills are really ... now, because of the months of er, studying before Os. And I really need to start practicing NOW, 'cause I don't think I can get into the jc I want without appealing. So yes! Let's practice together!
Lastly, thanks for tolerating me and my shit hahah I've been an ass at times but HAHA I will always remember TKGSSE!! Will come back to visit, promise!
